I wanted to go to Petra ever since I saw Indianan Jones and the Last Crusade.  Not the cheapest place to travel but it was money well spent.  We managed to see Petra, Wadi Rum(desert used in the filming of The Martian), many holy sites, roman ruins and experienced floating in the Dead Sea (300M below sea level)
